Syed Imran

Syed Imran is the Chairman of Edison Innovation Services, which he leads at the intersection of technology, innovation and human-capital development. An engineer by training, he holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Peshawar, and an M.Sc. in Renewable Energies from the University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada — a combination that pairs deep technical grounding with an international perspective on energy, sustainability and emerging technology.

He has been engaged with flagship national initiatives shaping Pakistan’s digital and creative economy. These include the Centre of Excellence in Gaming & Animation (CEGA) — the Ministry of IT & Telecommunication’s flagship programme, delivered through the Ignite National Technology Fund, designed to accelerate Pakistan’s gaming and animation industries by incubating startups, training talent, and providing shared workspace and resources to help local creators compete globally — and the Shenzhen-Inspired ICT Education & Training Roadmap for Pakistan, a strategic study launched by the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) under the Ministry of IT & Telecommunication, in line with the vision of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, to strengthen Pakistan’s digital economy by fostering closer alignment between education, industry, and innovation, enabling the country to develop a globally competitive ICT workforce on the proven Shenzhen model.

Combining engineering discipline with an entrepreneur’s instinct for opportunity, Syed Imran is focused on positioning Edison Innovation Services as a bridge between Pakistan’s talent and world-class standards in technology, skills and innovation.
